Dutchman Window and Cleaning Services

Dutchman is a local window cleaning company for the last 50 years. They handle residential and commercial window cleaning, but it appears that they perform large scale commercial projects that involve high rise condo cleaning, multi-story building cleaning, large commercial building cleaning and storefront. This would imply that Dutchman is more commercial focused in their business although they do offer residential.

A unique characteristic of Dutchman is the offering of waterproofing services for cracks or leaks in window that come along with an inspection. This would be helpful to a building manager that wants window inspections performed along with cleaning, particularly in a large scale project.

Window Cleaning, Gutter Cleaning, Mirror cleaning and Awning cleaning are listed together as their residential services. Window and mirror cleaning do go together, but awning and gutter cleaning are very different services.

Dutchman does have weekly, monthly, or quarterly cleaning maintenance discounted rates for ongoing or repeat service.

Sabrina’s Window Cleaning

Sabrina’s Window cleaning is a large residential window cleaning service out of north Bradenton, although they do service into south Sarasota County, and it appears all over southwest Florida from Naples to the south to the Villages to the North. That is a large service area for window and pressure cleaning services, which probably explains how most customers have heard of Sabrina's.

A brief review of their website services list and photos, it appears that Sabrina's cleans a lot of windows in the ‘Traditional’ method, which is ladder against a house or over a pool and hand cleaning with a window sleeve and squeegee any window glass. There are several photo examples of this method used on large houses with long extended ladders.

There is no mention of pure water cleaning with water fed pole, which leads to believe that this service is not in their array of window cleaning services.

Pressure washing services tab has even a little more content and in-action photos. They offer house pressure washing services, including pool cage and pool deck pressure cleaning, such as hard surface cleaning. This appears to be strictly pressure or power washing based, as there is no mention of chemical applications that often are used in conjunction with pressure cleaning.

There is mention of ‘soft washing’ although it isn’t clear if this service is offered bySabrina’s window cleaning or is a separate service



Sabrina’s has over 200 google reviews which implies a long period of service in the area, given how rare it is to receive an online review from a customer.

Windowstry Window Cleaning

Windowstry is a newer window cleaning and pressure washing company that highlights some of the traditional methods of window cleaning along with some of the newer methods.

Some of the newer methods such as pure clean water window cleaning with water fed pole and also ‘screen shampooing’ with soap and chemical are highlighted on their website–and there are excellent before and after examples of both.

Windowstry also highlights their ‘green approach’ centered on pure water cleaning and no use of harsh chemicals, soaps, or detergents. Safe for pets and people, biodegradable and eco-friendly.

Windowstry is also owned and operated in the local area, and unlike the larger companies such as Dutchman or Sabrina’s, usually this means you will receive more personalized service from the owners or a small group of workers. The owner may be the one that is completing the cleaning at your home or business. This means high levels of communication from owner/manager to high level of accountability if there is a question or an issue in service.

Windowstry also emphasizes their presence on social media to have expanded information and completed job examples there that goes beyond their posted website information.

Freedom Window Cleaning

Freedom window cleaning is a strictly traditional window cleaning company. Husband and wife owned and an American Veteran owned business in the local area that services most of Sarasota County.

Residential window cleaning mostly falls into two categories. The first would be homes and condos/apartments that are 700 sq. ft. to 2000 sq. ft. This is the majority of homes and dwellings in Sarasota County. The second would be homes that are above 2000–7000 square feet, which is a distinct minority. In between these there are a few designs in southwest Florida where the square footage is +/-2000 sq. ft. but there is also a few or several 2ndfloor window systems.

A traditional window cleaning company like Freedom would do very well and competitively priced for houses that are less than 2000 sq. feet and do not have 2nd floor windows, as they may have certain business restrictions and choose not to take the risk of those types of window cleaning jobs.

Freedom window cleaning is well suited for smaller residential window cleaning jobs and a team of two window cleaners that work together everyday would result in a high level of quality and service to the homeowner.
