Cost/Price for Window Cleaning

Window Cleaning cost and pricing are different per house and per window. It is rare that all of these factors are present in any given job at the same time. All prices are subject to change and would be based on the following factors.

The first determining factor is time: how long it has been since the windows were last cleaned. Length of time moves window cleaning from a standard job to a possible restoration job. Length of time means that there will be a second factor of mold, mildew, dirt, and grime built up on the glass and frames that may require extra steps to remove it. 2 to 3 years is the general rule where these buildup factors become very visible on the windows and frames.

The third factor in window cost and pricing includes proximity to ocean, lake, or pond, or any body of water. The windows facing these areas tend to build up more humidity on the glass and frames and thus more organic growth.

When organic growth or dirt and grime is visible on window glass and window frames, it will generally be present on the rest of the home. A fourth factor in window cost and pricing is the location of windows. Some windows are hard to reach whether with a ladder and squeegee or a carbon fiber water-fed pole. This may increase the difficulty of getting at the window location or the length of time it takes to simply perform the cleaning. Location also includes the height of the windows. 2nd floor, 3rd floor, and even 4th floor windows can be cleaned from the ground, but there will be a $1 to $2 fee as any window is located higher than the ground floor. A final consideration about location is how much foliage (for example; trees, shrubs, and bushes) that is present that makes it more physically challenging to access the actual window.

And the fifth factor in window cost and pricing is the actual size of the windows. As a rule, most homes have a standard size window that makes up 40 to 80 percent of the window count. Our cost and price are for the standard size window. The larger the window, there may be a nominal price fee added. But also, for windows such as bathroom windows, there may be a price discount.

My Window Guys has outside-only window pricing that can be customized in any number or section that you prefer. This way we can give a fixed price for ongoing service in any length of time you require. We can return weekly for service all the way up to annual or once-a-year service. Our customers also can select from a menu of services in addition to window cleaning, such as pool screen cage cleaning and pool deck cleaning. Or they sometimes prefer the front and back of the home and windows with exterior cleaning. We can create pricing options that can be selected for different times of the year as well.

Inside windows will include a window track, window frame, and window glass cleaning as well. The more dust, allergens, or pet hair that is present may increase the cost and pricing of window cleaning by +/- 5%. Also, hard-to-reach and windows that are behind furniture may be a factor. It is expected that there is a reasonable amount of moving furniture and items to get at windows to clean, but if more than a reasonable amount it may drive up the base price of the window cleaning and add a little to the inside cleaning.
