    Glass Shower Doors

Harsh chemicals over time can build up on glass shower doors. Often the glass is already etched, but hard water removal can help restore the glass to an acceptable clean. A 100% restoration is usually not possible on shower door with chemical and hard water buildup but the process can bring it very close to 100% restoration, most of the time. Shower Door replacement is very expensive, My Window Guys uses Mr. Hard Water products to remove those hard chemicals and hard water and usually this cost is 10 to 20% replacement cost of the shower door glass.

    Residential Windows

Water sprinklers are usually fed by deep underground wells that contain hard water. The sprinkler head may be facing too close to the ground floor residential window glass and this hard water gets on to the glass and dries. Over time this can build up and make the glass unclear and lower your home's appearance from the outside. An additional factor in the degree of hard water build up is if the window is in direct sunlight. Direct sunlight 'bakes in' the hard water and calcifies the deposits. Restoration is different from window cleaning. The goal is to avoid replacing the glass. My Window Guys utilizes Mr. Hard Water products and tools to remove much of the hard water buildup and bring back the glass to a see-through shine.  Not all residential windows may be serviced from Hard Water removal and polish. The cost of removing hard water from residential windows is often 10 to 20% of the cost of replacement.

    Waiver

When doing hard water removal, other contractors or the homeowner may have already

tried to fix the problem. Improper hard water removal could result in damage to the glass.

For example, improper hard water removal may have result in scratched glass or in etched

glass from the improper use of harsh chemicals. It may not be immediately obvious because of the white calcium stains on the glass that are hiding the damage. These defects may only be visible upon the start of removing and polishing of the glass. This may lead to a result that is not a 100% restoration. My Window Guys will discuss these potential problems with the customer up front to set clear expectations for the customer that can be reasonably met.

Each situation is different and will be handled on a case-by-case basis. In all cases, My Window Guys will do our very best to get the results the customer needs and is willing to pay for.
