Common Window Cleaning Challenges

However, maintaining clean and clear windows can be a challenging task that presents a variety of problems. From streaks and spots to stubborn grime and difficult-to-reach areas, window cleaning can sometimes feel like an uphill battle. Here are some common window cleaning problems:

• Windows that won’t open or won’t open very well.
• Windows were the ballasts are broken and need repair by a window repair person.
• Windows that cannot be accessed such as heavy furniture.
• Windows that have heavy hard water buildup on glass and frames, typically from sprinkler heads that are too close to the building or are pointed directly at the window, or in close proximity to the window.
• Windows that have oxidized paint on the frames.
• Windows that have physical damage such as frames that are falling apart.
• Windows where there is damage between compressed glass where the seal has failed, and the glass is blurry inside the window glass.
• Windows that have a section or multiple sections where the glass is cracked or broken.
• Windows that have paint on the glass.
• Windows that have stickers on them from the manufacturer.
• Windows that have old tape on the frames or glass.
• Windows that have shotgun fungus on them (from mulch around house)
• Windows that are old and have Tint on the glass that is faded or damaged.
• Windows that have pre-existing scratches on them from a prior improper cleaning that involved razors.
• Windows that have manufacturer defects.
  

Here are some common slider door cleaning problems:

• Slider doors that the rollers that rest on the track are broken or malfunctioning.
• Slider door tracks that have extreme heavy residue that inhibit the functioning of the slider door movement.
• Slider door tracks where the metal track is bent or damaged inhibiting or outright preventing the movement of the slider doors.
• Slider door locks that are not in alignment with the lock receptacle.
• Slider door locks that are broken or damaged. 
• Slider door frames that have oxidized paint that is coming off to the touch.
• Slider doors that will not open with a reasonable amount of force. 
• Slider doors frames and seals that are susceptible to salt corrosion or salt damage. 
• Slider doors that have manufacturer defects.
